Last night we went out in the chilly weather to check out the Christmas lights and markets around Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich. I am convinced that European Christmas is the best time of year and makes everyone feel festive. They decorate with lots of lights and there are holiday markets everywhere serving Gluehwein, Raclette, sweets, and presents. We walked around looking at the lights and it started snowing as we ran into some friends and went to have some more gluehwein. It started snowing so hard that we had piles on our shoulders and heads by the time we decided to head home for dinner. It was fabulously festive!

Apparently Moon Boots are popular here - I have no idea how people walk in those things.
