Well my lead-footed fiance has gotten caught speeding! In Zurich, they have cameras all around the city and if you see a bright flash of light behind you, chances are you have been caught speeding and will get a ticket in the mail. Word on the street is that fines are assessed as follows:
KM over limit: 1-4 is 40 CHF, 5-8 is 80 CHF, 9-12 is 120 CHF and over 12 is bad news…
They are really strict and Phil got a ticket for going 2km over the limit and I just paid 40 Swiss francs as a fine. If you go 12 or more over the limit, you have to pay a percentage of your salary. They are serious!
So slow down speed racer! :)
