Happy 4th of July!

We celebrated the 4th in true American style, by taking a paddle boat out on Lake Zurich for the day and getting various levels of sunburn despite many sunscreen applications. Two of our American friends, Adam and Erin joined us. The day was sunny and hot, and the water was very refreshing. After 5 hours on the lake we thought we would try to make it out to the Caliente festival, however Phil and I only lasted about 30 minutes before we took off for the comfort and shade of our apartment.

We will have to go out on the lake again since it was so much fun. Every time we do something new in Zurich, we fall in love with the city a little bit more. I honestly don't think summer in Zurich could be better. It is warm, but not too hot; the parks are filled with people hanging out and playing games, people are swimming and renting boats all along the edges of the lake and just generally enjoying the wonderful weather. We keep saying that if all of our friends and family moved over here we would not need to leave. :)
