Schaffhausen and the Rhein Falls

On Sunday we decided to make the hour trip to see the Rheinfall, Europe's widest plain waterfalls. It was a good adventure for a Sunday and the weather was fairly mild so climbing around was pretty comfortable. We started on one side of the falls and then climbed up and across to the other side and then went as close as we could to the water. We also spent a little bit of time looking around the city of Schaffhausen before our train left to return to Zurich. The city reminds me of the "Old Town" area of Zurich with the cobblestones and shops but it feels a bit cozier since the city is much smaller.

Our first view of the falls...

We love the panoramic picture feature on our new camera!

Phil knows what he wants for Christmas! (it is a fancy toy helicopter if you can't see it in the picture)

They have started decorating for the holidays. Europe is fantastic around Christmas with holiday markets and lights everywhere.
